Very Fine and Unique Custom Designed and Worked Vintage Needlepoint - 1972 - RAIJIN or RAIDEN (God of Thunder) - The powerful deity in a typical pose with drums in both hands with which he makes the sound of thunder; below is a band of billowing waves and spray, rippling diagonal stripes, representing deep water with triple mountains rising out of the turbulent sea; all on a dense fret-patterned background. The colors are vibrant and dramatic befitting the subject, and the quality and detail are very fine. It's worked on approx. a no. 18 canvas and is one of a kind. Professionally mounted on a board, matted and ready to frame. Condition: Excellent.

The colors are ostentacious and the design deep with symbolic meaning. It's worked on approx. a no. 10 canvas, and It is one of a kind. It is not mounted, and as with all hand-done unstretched needpoint canvas', the size would be somewhat uneven. Condition: Very, Very Good.

CARVED JADE DOUBLE PEACH PLACQUE on Rosewood Stand to Fit
Greenish-Gray Jade Placque - beautifully carved on the front with two peaches borne on a leafy stem, with a bat above; the stone of even greenish-gray tone. The reverse is plain with a ridge in the stone. It may have been mounted at one time. Condition : Excellent.
