The Kaigetsudo Painters was a small group of Artists that worked for a brief period in the 1st half of the 18th c. and created the universal symbol of Ukiyo-e- the Kaigetsudo courtesan, standing in silent grandeur in brilliant robes in a swirl of dynamic black lines. Condition: Very good - cover- slightly scuffed ; the book plate of a former owner in the front cover condition and a seal on the bottom of the title page.
