Antique Japanese Woodblock Print - Torii Kunimasa ll - Large Format Yakusha-e (Actor Print) in Benezuri-e (Pink and Green). Most likely from the Kabuki play : Tsuwanon kongen Soga (The Origin of the Soga Warrior). The scene portrayed takes place at the Megoro Fudo Temple with Fudo Myoo and the Soga Brothers, played by the actors, Nakamura Denkuro and Icikawa Danjuro. Publisher: Maruya Kohei. Condition: Very good as would be commensurate with age; excellent color; good impression; four small tears on the edges; some light soil and wrinkling; three places at the top of the reverse side with reside from being laid down.

EARLY 20TH C. JAPANESE GOLD FOUR-PANEL SCREEN WITH CREST DETAILING A SAMURAI SCREENING CURTAIN Maru ni Kenkatabami (Sword and Oxalis)
An early 20th c. Japanese Gold Four-Panel Screen with Crest (Mon) - Decorated with three large Mon (family crest), painted with mineral paints realistically detailing a Samurai screening curtain of the type that would have been used during outings for pleasure or military campaigns to cordon off areas of high-ranking officers. I believe the mon is the Maru ni Kenkatabami (Sword and Oxalis in a circle), a Battlefield crest. Original backing paper remains. Condition: Some minor damage typical for a screen of this age; a small missing piece at the top of Panel 3, tear in Panel 4, a tear in Panel 2, and some places in the grooves between panels where there are some loosened edges from folding and unfolding, one old repair to the reverse, light soil,and some scuffs to the outer edges of the frame.Overall Condition: Good. The metal hanging hardware for hanging is present to the back. It displays beautifully !!

Antique Japanese Woodblock Print Oban- Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Bijin (Beauty) on the Bank of the River - c. 1837 Title: The Apparition of Kannon Saves a Young Girl Victim from the Hag of Hito-tsuya. The beauty shown seated by a marshy riverbank, dressed in an elaborate kimono with one foot bare that she may have dipped in the water or preparing to do so. Left panel of a Triptych - Signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga in Toshidama cartouche, with publisher’s mark - Minatoya Kohei. Excellent color; very good impression, very good condition; backed with an old paper with a small place at the center bottom where the backing is missing; residue at corners of the back from previous inclusion in folder . It's a beautiful print that will display beautifully!

ANTIQUE JAPANESE COPPER OVER METAL TRAY 17 Arhats
Unusual Antique Japanese Copper over Metal Tray, late 19th/early 20th c., of rounded rectangular form, the shallow interior molded in high relief with seventeen Arhats, all shown with their various attributes, the rim with a continuous intricate pattern; the reverse molded in relief with a hut in a mountainous landscape, both sides with exceptional detail and workmanship; nice patina. Unusual in that there is so much detail on the reverse; unsigned. Condition: Very, Very good as would be commensurate with age and use; some small minor places on the reverse where the finish is worn away and can be seen on the photos. It would add to any Collection!
